STORMTECH Donates $600,000 in Apparel to Flood Relief

December 10, 2021 – STORMTECH Performance Apparel has committed to donate $600,000 worth of apparel to support those displaced by the severe weather and resulting floods that occurred in British Columbia. STORMTECH, a global retail brand based in Vancouver, joined hands with Rotary Club of Golden Ears Sunrise to help with recovery efforts in the province.

The brand gathered more than 9,700 units of performance outerwear and accessories valued at over $598,000 MSRP, and will be shipping them out in phases as the charities on the ground determine the best way to receive and process this significant donation.

“Thousands of families have been displaced without their possessions and require immediate assistance,” said Blake Annable, President and CEO of STORMTECH Performance Apparel. “As a company who calls B.C. home, we are committed to mobilize and leverage our available resources to help the affected communities.”

The alliance between Rotary and STORMTECH was an obvious one. Both parties have a shared vision and commitment to identify and support those in need, both locally and internationally, through the global Rotary ethos and the STORMTECH charitable initiative.

Rotary Club of Golden Ears has collaborated with various relief organizations, including Salvation Army and local councils affected by this disaster, and will be supporting more than 5000 households with this donation from STORMTECH.

“The sheer size of this donation left me speechless with gratitude,” exclaimed Rotary member Gavin Herholdt. “It is wonderful to collaborate with STORMTECH in support of this desperate need”. Herholdt has been the main point of contact between Rotary and STORMTECH, coordinating the complex logistics behind both receiving and distributing the sizable donation.
