Sergio Munoz Named Recipient of 2024 Robert L. Scott Award

December 13, 2023 – The Robert L. Scott Memorial Award will be presented to Sergio Munoz at the National Imprint Canada Show, January 12 & 13, 2024 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

This prestigious award is presented annually to the individual (at the supplier level) who best displays unparalleled commitment, integrity and enthusiasm for the Canadian Imprintable & Promotional Products Industry. Sergio was voted by a panel of industry peers to be the 26th recipient of this exclusive honour, for his outstanding work as Vice President of Business Development while at Debco. Sergio was announced November 23 as the new Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Add Impact Inc.

Boasting a robust 20-year career in the promotional marketing industry, Sergio’s professional journey has been fueled by a deep-rooted passion reflective of his Latin heritage. This drive and enthusiasm has culminated in his new role with Add Impact, an esteemed distributorship established in 1995, renowned for its award-winning services. At Add Impact, Sergio will leverage his extensive experience in sales management, where his proficiency shines in developing and implementing strategies that effectively drive sales growth and enhance customer relationships. “My approach to sales is holistic, integrating traditional methods with a nuanced understanding of the digital landscape,” said Sergio. “This includes a strategic use of social media as a tool for business engagement and market analysis, rather than as the central focus of our sales strategy.”

Sergio’s expertise lies in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, steering sales teams towards success, and fostering a culture of excellence. The use of digital tools — including social media — is part of this broader strategy to connect with the intended audience in a meaningful way, but always within the context of a larger, multi-faceted sales and marketing approach.

Outside of work, Sergio strives to make his life as dynamic and diverse as his career. Whether it’s spending quality time with his family in the great outdoors, staying active and fit at the gym, or exploring the rich culinary diversity of North America, he fully immerses himself in these experiences. “My personal pursuits are a reflection of my commitment to a balanced, energetic lifestyle.”

“Sergio is an incredibly deserving winner who has led a new generation of suppliers to embrace the modern practices of marketing,” said Tony Muccilli, publisher of Imprint Canada magazine and manager of the Imprint Canada Shows. “From his entertaining social media presence, to his outstanding reputation for service to clients, Sergio Munoz is a name that has been nominated more and more for this award in recent years, and it is a coincidental but absolutely fitting cap to his time at the supplier level, that his contributions receive this well-deserved recognition.”
